Light Bodied White

Light Bodied White

One of the main ways to talk about wine is by discussing a wine’s body. Wine body can be divided into three categories: light body, medium body, and full body. Imagine how skim milk, whole milk, and cream feel differently in your mouth. Although not as dramatic as the milk example, the body of wine can be compared in a similar way.

Several things contribute to the body of a wine, and one of the main things is alcohol content; the more alcohol, the more viscous.

There are many delicious, light-bodied white wines. The ones listed are not obscure but, instead, quintessential light-bodied white wines, and they are important to know. Also know that any wine can be made sweet or dry.

That said, the Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc selected here are zesty with less residual sugar while the Rieslings are fermented on the sweeter side.
